With a fourth-place finish in his heat race pinning him on the eighth row for the $12,055-to-win A-Main, Bryan marched through the field 10 spots in the 55-lap affair to register a sixth-place finish.
For the Butch Renninger Memorial on Saturday at Port Royal Speedway (Port Royal, Pa.), Bernheisel came in sixth in his heat, relegating him into the B-Main for another shot at the A-Main. Needing to place third or better, Bryan came one spot short with a fourth-place outing.
With Jim joining Bryan on Sunday at Selinsgrove Speedway (Selinsgrove, Pa.), Jim secured his spot into the A-Main with a runner-up finish in his heat with Bryan trailed him in third. With $11,052 on the line in the feature, Bryan jumped up two spots to finish seventh. Jim ran as high as second in the 25-lapper but faded to third when the checkered flag flew. He followed Rick Eckert and Jeff Rine to the checkers with Brett Schadel and Coleby Frye completing the Top-5 finishers.
