Following the fourth-fastest lap in a field of 22 cars, Bernheisel posted a second-place finish in his heat, which positioned him fourth on the starting grid for the $4,900-to-win A-Main. Rebounding from an early flat tire on the fourth circuit, Bryan salvaged a 14th-place finish in the 35-lap affair.
Back in action on Sunday at Bridgeport Motorsports Park (Bridgeport, N.J.), Bryan topped his group in time trials before placing first in his heat. Jim followed up the fifth-fastest time in his group with a fifth-place finish in his heat. With $5,000 on the line in the feature, Bryan was an early retiree from the 40-lapper while Jim passed five cars to finish fifth. He followed Rick Eckert, Tyler Hershey, Andy Haus, and Trevor Collins across the line.Back to News
