Fifth-place finish in Gary Martz Memorial at Bedford

Bryan Bernheisel was among 22 Super Late Model competitors on hand Friday evening at Bedford Speedway for the Gary Martz Memorial, held as part of the 151st Annual Bedford Fair.

After suffering a flat tire while leading his heat race, Bernheisel rallied to finish fifth in the qualifier. He then put on a show in the 25-lap feature, charging from 14th to fifth to earn a top-five result. He trailed only Matt Cosner, Travis Stickley, Jeff Rine, and Mason Zeigler at the checkered flag.

Saturday’s planned stop at Selinsgrove Speedway was canceled due to rain.
