Jim Bernheisel caps final season with top-10 at Bedford

Bernheisel Racing celebrated a memorable weekend that kicked off Friday afternoon, as Bryan Bernheisel competed in the Bernheisel Racing Components Fall Clash miniseries event at Maryland’s Hagerstown Speedway during the track’s annual Octoberfest.

In a stacked 31-car Late Model field, Bryan powered to a second-place finish in his heat to earn a spot in the $6,000-to-win A-Main. He climbed into the top 10 early in the feature, but a blistered right-rear tire hampered his efforts, ultimately relegating him to a 13th-place finish at the checkered flag.

The following night, Bryan was joined by his father, Jim Bernheisel, at Bedford Speedway for an emotional evening marking Jim’s final start in his storied 50-year career. Bryan finished fourth in his heat race, while Jim claimed third to secure a spot in the main event. Bryan’s feature ended early after he was collected in a tangle while running eighth, while Jim closed out his remarkable career with an 10th-place finish at the same track where he earned his final victory in 2023.
